ACCESS TO THE SPEED PROGRAM ‘ 00
Salomon grassroots program aims to detect and recruit young 15-21 years
old skaters in every participating country. It represents the first
possible integration of young talented skaters into national teams,
and the hope of one day joining our international team. According
to Pascal Briand : “ I wish such a program existed when I began skating...
”. Thanks to our partners (VW, Amag, Cébé, SKF and Met),
this program provides equipment to over 150 young athletes all over the
world through Salomon subsidiaries and distributors. The finals will take
place in Einsilden (CH) where the young skaters will be able to race with
the elite of the discipline. After its 99 success in western European countries
: France, Germany, Great-Britain, Sweden, Italy and Switzerland, the program
will travel to new continents : Benelux, Middle East, Eastern European
Countries, Asia, South America and the Oceanic continent.
Objectives : Through the Salomon subsidiaries & distributors
To Support and feed the roots of the sport
To Detect and help the young and future road racing talents
To Complement the visibility of Salomon elite teams and program partners
(VW, Amag, Cebe, Met, Skf)

The ATTS program operation starts on mid April 2000, following the pack
delivery to Subsidiaries.
It ends in October 2000 with the organization of the ATTS final weekend
during the Swiss Inline Cup in Einsilden (CH) on October 7th, to elect
the International most promising talent of the Year.
During this weekend, the selected young talents from each country will
have the dream opportunity to skate, practice & race with the elite
International team & their leader Pascal Briand.
The skaters will also attend some special clinics & technical video
classes delivered by the International coach, Christophe Audoire.
This grassroot program created in 99 and opened to even more skaters
& countries in 00, will certainly allow the best skaters of this program
to join their national team in 2001 & hopefully, one day, be part of
the Elite International Salomon road racing team.
